The present study examined some of the personality characteristics in adolescents and its relationships with academic achievement. In this Human development - Psychological trends in retrospect and prospect: Invited symposium of iupsyS past-presidents research 1314 cases have been randomly selected from high schools in Tehran. Subjects filled in several questionnaires including Beck self-concept, Coopersmith self-esteem, Spielberger state-trait anxiety, and Beck depression test. Moreover, both self-concept and self-esteem showed negative significant association with depression.

Studies on Internet Dependent Behaviour (IDB) (Kraut et al., 1998; Wang, 2001) have found its negative effects on university students' academic achievement, social interactions and psychological health. This paper explored the relationship between sensation seeking, parenthood and mental health level of adolescents. Proper family educational style could reduce adolescents’ anti-social behaviors. (2) Sensation seeking and parenthood were two important predictive indexes of the mental health of adolescents. Two hundreds and forty-nine of college students participated in the study. Those results supported notions that social situational factors would affect on prosocial behaviors. Those findings were discussed from viewpoints of socio-cognitive developmental theory.

This article studied the junior high students of Mingda Middle School for 3 years and collected the test scores of every subject of Human development - Psychological trends in retrospect and prospect: Invited symposium of iupsyS past-presidents enrollment and graduation. The authors evaluated many psychological traits using the 80-8 scale, general ability scales and Standard Progressive Matrices (SPM). Changes in types of cognitive distortions were analyzed with the “Think aloud method” in 80 pathological gamblers receiving psychological treatment. Recently there have been a growing number of DID cases in Japan. The mean age of the first medical or psychological examination is 21.6, the average age of the first sign of DID is 16.3. Samples were 45 female students. they divided in 3 equal groups -Coping Therapy, Progressive Relaxation Trainning & Control-,Randomly. The aim of the Erica Process and Outcome Study (EPOS) is to study psychoanalytic individual child psychotherapy with parallel parent therapy.
